We have bought a new kitchen machine from Kenwood, and since it is the last day of the winter holidays for the kids, we are testing out the kitchen machine by making sugar cookies with Royal icing on top.

It is very easy to make sugar cookies and Royal icing, but I will post the recipes we used.

Sugar cookeis

  • 400 g of wheat flour
  • 200 g of icing sugar
  • 200 g of soft butter
  • 2 tbsp of vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg

Royal icing

  • 4 egg whites
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 kg of icing sugar
  • Food coloring

Sugar cookies:

First we mixed together flour, sugar and sugar together in the kitchen machine until the butter crumbled well in the dry. Knit it well together.

Cool the dough wrapped in plastic for 30 min.

Roll the dough, but not too thin. Cut out with cookie cutters. And since I miss the sun and heat, I chose more ‘warm’ cutters.

Cool the cookies for 20 minutes before inserting them into the oven at 180 ° C for about 10 minutes. Cool the cakes until they are completely cold.

Royal icing:

Whip the egg whites. Mix in lemon juice and icing sugar, and whip the glaze airy.

Now you can decorate and enjoy this delicious sugar cookies.

And yes, that animal is a llama 😉

Please leave a comment if you have cake recipes that can suit diabetics.

I will be very grateful if you can share my blog 🙂

Have a great weekend everybody!
